Service Spotlight: Lend & Learn Toy Libraries

I don't know about you all, but the past few weeks here at First Chance For Children have been a whirlwind! Summer has been winding down, kiddos are headed back to school, and our Lend & Learn Libraries open next week. That's right, our Lend & Learn Toy Libraries open next week!

We cannot wait to open our doors to all of Columbia's families with children from birth to three starting next Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our two Lend & Learn locations (1010 Fay Street and 207 Park Avenue). These locations will be open every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday that Columbia Public Schools are in session, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m..

After going through a simple registration process, children (birth to three) and parents are welcomed to play in any of our many rooms. They can create unstructured art projects, play pretend in our dramatic play rooms, focus on their children's motor skills in our gross motor room, relax in our quiet area, as well as enjoy snack time (and an outside play area at our Fay Street location)! Families may also check out up to four toys or literacy bags to take home for a month if they would like to.

Our Lend & Learn Toy Libraries are also great places for parents to meet and connect with each other!

We cannot wait to see you all there!

Welcome!

Welcome to First Chance For Children's blog! We are so excited to be able to create this for all of the families we serve and for families who are interested in becoming involved with First Chance For Children.

The purpose of this blog will be to highlight the different services FC4C offers. It will also serve as a forum for any question you may have and it will recap events held by FC4C.
